Once again I have realized I am the most impatient person in the world...this time through potty training. I frequently come to the conclusion that I am not one of those motherly types, like so many women I know, who are natural nurturers, constantly patient, and forever upbeat. I totally admire women like this. I first realized I would not be the motherly type when I, unlike every other beehive or miamaid in my ward, did not want to hold any of the leaders' babies or babysit. I am proof though that if you are not a natural when it comes to kids, you can still love being a mother.... even when your kid tells you there is pee on the couch.

Warm Night on the Beach
Monday night we rode our bikes to a nearby campground and reservoir. Ry loved walking around in the chilly water, and I loved being with my family on a warm evening.

Idaho....again
The last couple weeks Ry and I have been in Idaho. The first week I watched my sister-in-laws kids and the second week we just hung out and Ry played with grandma. We're glad to be home with Kev now, and to enjoy the nice sunny warm days in Colorado (Idaho is a little too chilly and windy right now for my liking). Here are a few highlights from our get away:

Excursions Summary
The past couple weeks have been filled with family time and good eating, two of our favorite things! Here is a quick recap of why Ry and I are so bored and a tad bit lonely at home now:
Made a trip to Idaho for Kev's spring break (ah - the perks of still being students!). While there we went to Kev's parents' retirement/mission party, relaxed with lots of family, and enjoyed an actual date (I'm talking the whole works, lunch, movie, and no Ry).
The following week Ry and I went on a trip with my fam to visit the area where my baby bro. served his mission. I wish I could say he served in Hawaii or somewhere with a warm beach, but it was actually cool to go to the Independence, Missouri mission. Lots of church history sites: Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Independence, and Nauvoo.

It's a.....
Yup, we had our ultrasound today. Looks like another little girl for the McMinns! So excited for Ry to have a sister, to reuse all her clothes, and for Kev to have another daddy's girl. I couldn't help but think of what a precious and adorable girl we had the first time, so here is a flashback from two years of our more chubby and asian looking Ry. BTW, Is it bad I'm only half way there and I'm ready to be done with being pregnant?

Boy or Girl?
So people have asked me if I have any inklings...any feeling on what we're having. Just like the first time, I have no idea. I don't think of the baby as a "boy baby" or "girl baby", although Kev always says "him and he" (he did this last time too and was brought back into reality when the ultrasound tech. said "I think it's a boy...wait a minute...no, no it's a girl")
As far as us having a preference, I would love another girl for financial reasons...we already have girl stuff (pretty ridiculous, I know. Bring on the boys once we graduate from school). Of course it would be awesome to have a little boy, he will just have to wear girl clothes.
Anyways, the purpose of this post is to see if anyone else may have premonitions as to what we're having. Go ahead...guess away. And to those who think they have a real gift at this, you can add us to your record of successes or failures.
