Father's day is long gone, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to post adorable pictures of my two favorite people. Ry adores Kev. The highlight of her day is when she hears him walking up the steps to our apartment after school, and I love that she would rather go hang out at cub scouts with dad, then play at home with mom. I needed a partner that would take on more responsibilities than most dads do and thank goodness Kev does. I may not be the natural motherly type...but at least I married someone who is...no offense Kev, it's a good thing.

5 Years and Counting
Yesterday was mine and Kevin's 5th anniversary! I looked through our archive of pictures starting in 2004, and I can't believe all the amazing stuff we have done together in the past 5 years. I really wouldn't change anything, I love that we have been students for the last 5 years, that we have lived in three different states, that for the first 3 years it was just Kev and I in our little family, and that now we are also a mom and a dad. I married a kind, honest, patient, and loving guy and am really grateful he is permanently part of my life. Love you! Thanks for the flowers!

Weekend Getaway
Kev had an orthodontic conference this weekend in Vail, so Ry and I tagged along and made it our first exclusive family vacation. It is so beautiful! Ry's recap of our trip includes going over bridges, fly fishing with daddy, going on walks, playing at the parks, and looking at flowers. Ry also learned to go potty outside and apparently she likes it better than using the bathroom.
Ry has a "fly rod" I made out of a stick and a little rope, she is actually pretty good and would make Grandpa Mc. proud. We drove through the most beautiful mountains and past some abandoned mining towns to go fishing.
