I Love Food

We have been missing the food from Hong Kong ever since we got back to the States in August so here was my lame attempt to recreate the yummy delicacies in my home. I made Char Siu Bao (the roll looking thing) which is bbq pork in a roll, pot stickers which we actually never had in HK but it's an Asian food and we love them, and some char siu pork on rice. To finish it off I made cocktail buns (rolls with a coconut/sugar filling) which were so delicious in HK and not so delicious from my kitchen. The only foods missing (besides any sort of vegetable) were don tarts, mango pudding, and taro cake.

um....Yumm!! That looks so good. Shawn and I love all that kind of food, and I'd say it looks like you did a good job...it made me way hungry and this cereal is not going to do!

Okay is the bun looking thing cooked? I am sure it tastes delicious, but it looks like a ball of dough. I am going to have to start calling you Martha, you are amazing to make all of that. Did you love the game?

That looks pretty good to me. As Rachael Ray would say, we all need "smell-o-vision"!

Your bread looks awesome! Is it the French Bread recipe? You have become a "real" baker!

I had "manapua" (the steam bun things) all the time in Hawaii and I loved it! There's a place in town I can get them frozen. You can send me the recipe, too! I never did figure out how to make them myself. Also the char sui pork. Trent's cousin is from Hawaii and she gave me some packets of the char sui seasoning. Yummmmmm! If I was ambitious, I'd try from scratch - you're awesome!
