Weekend Getaway

Kev had an orthodontic conference this weekend in Vail, so Ry and I tagged along and made it our first exclusive family vacation. It is so beautiful! Ry's recap of our trip includes going over bridges, fly fishing with daddy, going on walks, playing at the parks, and looking at flowers. Ry also learned to go potty outside and apparently she likes it better than using the bathroom.

Ry has a "fly rod" I made out of a stick and a little rope, she is actually pretty good and would make Grandpa Mc. proud. We drove through the most beautiful mountains and past some abandoned mining towns to go fishing.

How fun! I'm so jealous! Are you in a canoe in that first pic? I love Vail!

it looks awesome. It also looks like it is nicer weather there. We miss you guys. You should have Kevin take some pictures of your cute belly. I am dying to see it.

Glad you are having a chance to see some new places! Rylee will make a good fishing partner for Grandpa - and he'll love it!!

I've been playing catchup on your blog. I laughed when I saw the bag your mom made you. That bag is taking over the world! I just finished my second one. In Pittsburgh, my ward got on a kick and there are probably 30 of those bags floating around. I just moved to memphis and the girls here saw the bag and now there's probably 15 or so in the works!

I also loved what you said about not naturally being the motherly type. I'm still not the type that's dying to hold a newborn (unless it's my own). It makes me feel good to know I'm not the only one!
