Potty Training Venting

Once again I have realized I am the most impatient person in the world...this time through potty training. I frequently come to the conclusion that I am not one of those motherly types, like so many women I know, who are natural nurturers, constantly patient, and forever upbeat. I totally admire women like this. I first realized I would not be the motherly type when I, unlike every other beehive or miamaid in my ward, did not want to hold any of the leaders' babies or babysit. I am proof though that if you are not a natural when it comes to kids, you can still love being a mother.... even when your kid tells you there is pee on the couch.

BTW - potty training is not completely disastrous. So far the count is 5 successful potty trips and 3 dirty panties, so I guess we're still winning right?
How could I not love this?

I'm sure Ry will sooner than later be potty trained:) But good luck with the training! I think it's one of the few things I'm dreading in a mother's life.

She couldn't be cuter! I love the smile. I can't imagine potty training, I am sure every mother gets frustrated!

Good job Rylee! Even the most patient moms lose it during potty training!! It is my least favorite stage, Taylor is still in pullups because I have been lazy, I will probably wait a little longer to push her. Keep us updated on the progress. BTW what panties did Ry pick?

I'm staring to work on Tandi too! Let me know if you have any tricks up your sleeve. I will do the same for you. I wish we could have visited longer when you were here. I was all flustered from that car accident. But I'm glad I got to see you and your cute belly!

Hey Stef, I am probably the least patient mom on the block and I hated potty training all four times. But she will get hopefully sooner than later! Good luck, Stef and good job, Rylee! Keep it up! BTW we are now bloggers! Check it out!

That picture of Ry is adorable! I just bought the potty training underware for Sam and I keep putting it off. I really really really don't like potty training. I guess we are in it together. Just keep thinking of how much cheepier it will be for a few months with no diapers.

You are not a bad mom for not loving potty training. And, if you are, you are in good company with the rest of us. The good news is, one day they will just get old enough to figure it out - so, it can't last forever. But, I am with you - I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!!!!! Hang in there.

I think you are one of the most patient people I know, so cut yourself some slack and realize this is just a hard, frustrating thing to go through...and then give me some tips for when I do it with Dilly!

I loved this post! I feel the same way! I never liked babysitting, and I still don't love holding babies. I don't feel like a good mom til my kids turn 2 1/2! Potty training is ROUGH!! I hate it! Good Luck!
